Terms of Service
1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and Cody Stevens Studio LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we”). They cover the Saidframe iPhone app, the dashboard at app.saidframe.com and the cloud storage organizations can buy. Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal information. If you use Saidframe for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that organization.
You accept these terms when you create an account or start a paid plan. Using the app without an account is also covered by Apple’s standard license for App Store apps.
2. Accounts and organizations
An account needs a verified email address, and you must be at least 13. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for what happens through your account. People belong to organizations with a role (owner, admin, editor, contributor or viewer), and owners and admins decide who joins and what each person can do. Each organization needs at least one owner.
3. What you capture
You keep the rights you have in your photos, videos, voice notes, transcripts and notes (“content”). What you back up to an organization belongs to that organization and stays with it if you leave or delete your account. You give us a limited license to store, copy, process and show your content only to run Saidframe for you and your organization, keep it secure and meet the law. We don’t sell your content, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.
Consent is yours to get. You and your organization are responsible for having the permission the law and your own policies require to photograph, film and record the people in your content, including children and their guardians’ consent, and for how your organization uses it.
4. The app is free; storage plans are paid
The iPhone app is free, and it works without an account. Cloud backup is per organization and needs a plan:
- Team 250 GB: US$9 a month
- Team 1 TB: US$19 a month
- Team 4 TB: US$59 a month
An owner or admin buys a plan on the dashboard’s Plan page. Payments go through Stripe; we never see your full card number. Sales tax, where it applies, is shown and added at checkout. A plan renews every month on the same payment method until it is cancelled. We will email owners at least 30 days before a price change applies to an existing plan.
We may give an organization complimentary storage, with or without a limit. We will tell its owners at least 30 days before complimentary storage ends, and we never charge unless someone chooses a plan.
5. Storage limits, lapses and cancelling
- Full storage: when an organization reaches its limit, new backups pause. Nothing is lost: captures stay on the phone and back up once there is room.
- Missed payments: backups keep running for a 14-day grace period while Stripe retries. After that, new backups pause until the plan is paid.
- Cancelling: cancel anytime from the Plan page (Manage billing), or email support@saidframe.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month, and you are not charged again.
- After a plan ends: stored content stays readable and downloadable, and can be deleted. We won’t delete an organization’s stored content because a plan ended until at least 90 days have passed and its owners have had at least 30 days’ notice by email.
6. Refunds
We refund duplicate charges and charges made in error. If we stop offering cloud storage before the end of a month you paid for, we refund the unused part. Otherwise, cancelling doesn’t refund the rest of the current month; storage keeps working until it ends. Nothing here limits refund rights the law gives you.
7. Deleting things
People with permission can delete captures; deleted captures are erased 30 days later. You can delete your account in the app or on the dashboard. That erases your account at once, and any organization where you were the only member, with everything in it. Encrypted backups of our servers expire within 12 months. We can’t recall copies that others have already downloaded or exported.
8. Acceptable use
Use Saidframe lawfully. Don’t upload or share content that sexualizes minors; intimate images of anyone without their consent; material that infringes someone’s rights; threats, harassment or hateful abuse; or malware. Don’t use Saidframe for covert surveillance of people. Don’t try to get around plans, limits or access controls, reach other organizations’ data, or overload the service. Saidframe isn’t designed for HIPAA, PCI DSS or similar regulated data.
Report abuse or infringement to support@saidframe.com. Describe what you saw and where, but don’t attach sexual images of minors or intimate images.
9. Suspension and ending the service
We may suspend accounts or organizations, or remove content, if they break these terms or the law, don’t pay, or put the service at risk. Where we can, we will say why and how to ask us to reconsider. If we stop offering Saidframe’s cloud storage, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email where possible, stop charges, refund unused prepaid time and leave time to download your content.
10. No warranties, and limits on liability
Saidframe is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and we don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own copies of anything you can’t afford to lose; the app keeps captures on the phone until you delete them.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability for all claims about Saidframe is limited to the greater of what your organization paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. These limits don’t apply to fraud, gross negligence, intentional misconduct or anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
11. Law, disputes and changes
Texas law governs these terms. Before starting a legal claim, please email support@saidframe.com so we can try to fix it. Disputes go to the state courts of the county of our registered office in Texas (currently Travis County). If you are a consumer, you keep any rights where you live that can’t be waived.
Each version of these terms is dated. We will email account holders at least 14 days before a material change takes effect, unless the law or a security risk requires a change sooner. These terms and the privacy notice are the whole agreement about Saidframe unless we sign something else with your organization. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
